Samoens - Chalet
The Chalet - known locally as Les Billetes is one of the areas original farmhouses.
Set in the original farm courtyard the house is 100 meters away from the village square, where you will find local shops selling cheeses and cured meats from the valley.
The village also has a good number of restaurants to suit all budgets, and a number of French bars. As in all towns there is obligatory Irish bar which serves a good pint of Guinness.
The house dates back to the late 18th century though it has been recently modernised inside to make it a comfortable retreat after a day on the slopes.
The house itself is laid out over 2 floors with a entrance hall leading to 3 downstairs bedrooms, ( 2 bedrooms with 2 single beds and a larger room that sleeps 4), a boot room and ski storage area.
The stairs take you to the first floor open plan living area.
The views toward the village and church are really pretty and make a great spot for a pre-dinner drink.
An open plan kitchen means who is cooking is not shut off from the rest of the group. If nobody feels like cooking and you feel to tired to venture out, the village butchers and delicatessens shops make locally prepared dishes to takeaway at reasonably prices.
A further large bedroom with 2 single beds and bedroom with bunk beds for 2 make up the remaining sleeping accommodation.
There is car parking on the forecourt. |
