TRAVEL TO FLAINE BY CAR
All the most direct routes end up on the Autoroute Blanche (A40) Geneva-Chamonix which exit 19 Cluses centre. then turn right onto the N205, towards Sallanches and leave the N205 after about 2 km (1.2 miles) at the left turning theres is a sign posted as "Flaine", on the D106 and your will be on your way to flaine via Les Carroz d'Arâches.

If you are riding a bike then remember to take winter equipment with you. Flaine also has many convenient car parks in the different areas of the resort.
Following are few rough distances for your idea when travelling :
Geneva 70km - virtually a direct route down on the A40
Lausanne 132km - virtually a direct route down on the A40, with the addition of the route around Lac Leman to Geneva
Lyons 214km - motorway routes A42 & A40 to Annemasse (at the 150km mark)
Chambéry 134km - A41 north to Scientrier (80km) or 137km - A43 and N212 via Ugine and Megève
